Crimson Dragon Demo Footage Surfaces

Confession time: I never played any of the original Panzer Dragoon games. I have never experienced, or understood for that matter, what all the fuss is about these games. However, it is safe to say a lot of gamers hold those games dear to their gaming hearts. At the Tokyo Game Show in 2011, a spiritual successor to the series was announced, Crimson Dragon, with original creator Yukio Futatsugi returning, as well as the original composer Saori Kobayashi. The game was originally set to be released in Japan on June 13, 2012, but was delayed indefinitely with no explination given. Well apparently a demo for the game was found on the Japanese Xbox Marketplace, and has since quickly been taken down, but not before one user was able to capture the entire demo on video and throw it up on YouTube.

Now I guess I can also admit that I don't own a Kinect, and I haven't really felt the need to own one as of yet. However, I don't know if it was the excellent music, or the classic looking gameplay in this demo, but something about this demo makes me want to play Crimson Dragon, and remember this is just an Xbox LIve Arcade release. While no release date is set in Japan yet, which will probably make things even longer of a wait here stateside, you can bet that when it is finally released, Crimson Dragon will probably be sort of excellent. It sure looks pretty good, especially for a downloadable release.
