Dark Horse Presents #1 Goes Digital

A lot of publishers are scared of releasing their newer issues in digital format because they don't want to hurt their partnership with comic retailers. That's why you rarely get a new issue of a Marvel book in digital. Well Dark Horse seems to understand the digital market better and how their stock moves in comic shops, because they are already releasing Dark Horse Presents #1 digitally. Pretty bold considering the second issue is due to drop within a couple of weeks, but possibly the right move considering retailers have more than likely sold all the issues they will at this point. What do you guys think?

Continuing a week of announcements regarding the future of Dark Horse’s flagship title, we are proud to announce that Dark Horse Presents #1 will be available digitally on June 15 at Digital.DarkHorse.com!

Dark Horse Presents #1Subsequent issues will be available digitally approximately one month after release in comic shops, for $3.99 an issue. 

This inaugural issue contains all-new stories from Paul Chadwick’s Concrete, Carla Speed McNeil’s Finder, and Michael T. Gilbert’s Mr. Monster, as well as new material from Richard Corben, Howard Chaykin, and David Chelsea.
