Pixar is one of the most popular movie studios to movie fans and our Recommendation of the Week is their latest adventure Monsters University. The DVD features the short film The Blue Umbrella whilst the Blu-ray has pretty of behind the scenes goodies.

Monsters University is a prequel to Pixar's 2001 hit Monsters, Inc. This prequel focuses on the relationship between Mike (Billy Crystal), an academic student who dreams of being the greatest scarer and Sully (John Goodman) a jock with natural scaring abilities and tells how the two turned from rivals to friends.

In a light week of DVD and Blu-ray releases creatures of the night are the theme of the week with the releases of the comic book adaptation R.I.P.D. and the British/Irish movie Byzantium.

Based on a Dark House Comic R.I.P.D. is one of the biggest flops of 2013, earning highly negative reviews and failing at the box-office.

Nick Walker (Ryan Reynolds) is a Boston Police detective who dies in the line of duty where he is recruited by the Rest in Peace Department to hunt demons on Earth with Roycephus "Roy" Pulsipher (Jeff Bridges), a lawman from the Wild West.

Byzantium is British-Irish co-production by Neil Jordan (Interview With the Vampire), a vampire story with a social realistic approached. Byzantium tells two stories, one in modern as a mother and daughter pair of vampires, Clara (Gemma Arterton) and Eleanor (Saoirse Ronan) try to start a new life in a declining seaside town in England, as Clara tries keeps their secret as Eleanor finds love. The other narrative focusing how Clara was forced into prostitution in the 19th Century and how she became a vampire.

Cars was a pet product of Pixar veteran John Lassester because of his love for cars. But Cars is often considered one of Pixar's weakest movies.

Lightning McQueen (Owen Wilson) is an arrogant young racing car who is on the edge to becoming the first rookie to win the Pistol Cup. But whilst on the way to Los Angeles ends up in the small town of Radiator Springs and sentence to community services. But Lightning soon learns what really matters in life.
