Earth Defense Force, the over-the-top alien insect shooter, which has a rather large cult following in America, is seeing its fourth installment come to North American shores. 
Developer Sandlot promises "over-the-top action" and "city-leveling explosions" for the newly named Earth Defense Force 2025, originally called Earth Defense Force 4 at Japan. Also announced was four player multiplayer, allowing players to choose their soldier class and use more weapons than ever before in a ton of new missions. Earth Defense Force 2025 will be released sometime in 2013 for Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
