Final Fantasy XIII Causes Some Issues

Whenever a Final Fantasy fan boots-up a new game from their favorite franchise, there are many things going through their heads: How is the story, the gameplay, the characters, and of course, the game world? However, for some people one of their first thoughts was, “Why is my PS3 not working?” Unfortunately, some gamers who put the Final Fantasy XIII disc into their Playstation 3 found out the hard way that their new game might have a chance to kill the console.

The issue causes PS3 systems to freeze and just eventually become “totally and permanently inoperable.” Reportedly, both Sony and Square Enix knew about the issue, but did nothing about it. Instead of the companies taking the responsibility for the defect, they have chosen to blame each other. Though, Square blaming Sony at this point seems off, as the issue has not been reproduced with other games for the system

A class action lawsuit for over $5 million in damages and other “financial relief,” has been filed against both companies. Make sure to keep checking-in for an update on this situation as it progresses over the months.
