First Dwarves Images from ‘The Hobbit’ Revealed

UPDATE: On Friday, Jackson released another dwarves image, this time of Oin and Gloin (John Callen and Peter Hambleton). For series fans, Gloin should ring a bell, as in Gimli Son of Gloin. There's a definitive resemblence in the second picture below.

Peter Jackson is excellent at communicating with his fans and using the internet to release images and videos of his projects. Now, through the magic of Facebook, Mr. Jackson has released the first picture of the three main dwarves in The Hobbit.

In the picture, from left to right are Nori (Jackson regular Jed Brophey), Ori (Adam Brown) and Dori (Mark Hadlow). The trio are brothers and Dori plays the biggest role out of the three. He is considered the strongest of the company. Ori was mentioned in Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring as one of the Dwarf colonists in Moria who died during the Orc attacks. As you can see in the picture, all three have very distinctive outfits, hair and beard styles and have different weapons. Hopefully we will get a picture of Richard Armitage as Thorin Oakenshield very soon.

The Hobbit will be released in two parts in December 2012 and December 2013.
