Microsoft is giving people access to Xbox live gold for residents in The United States, Latin America, Canada, and Japan. Xbox Live's Major Nelson revealed that this promotion will run from April 19th to Monday April 22nd till 1PM Eastern time. 
This promotion will upgrade all Xbox owners to gold statue to enjoy the service. Also, Far Cry 3, Call of Duty: Black Ops 2, and Assassin's Creed 3 will all be offering double XP for players this weekend; while players of Madden NFL '13, FIFA '13, NHL '13, and NBA 2K13 will all have the opportunity to compete in tournaments being hosted this weekend.
