Grand Theft Auto V Coming To PC?

PC owners may want to slowly lean forward and take this one in if you are excited for Grand Theft Auto V and don’t have an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 to play it on. Amazon France, an online retailer, has apparently outed an as yet unannounced PC version of Rockstar's highly anticipated sequel. This news is slightly more interesting than just a retailer making up a version as they have a good track record in leaking titles that are yet to be announced.

Call of Duty: Black Ops II and The Killzone Trilogy were both first outed by the same retailer before being confirmed to be real, so who knows if it will turn out to be true. There is no smoke without fire I guess.

I would however keep my reservations about this story for many reasons. First of all, the retailer could just assume the game is coming to PC along with the console versions which would just be a simple mistake. Then there are the facts. Rockstar have previously said they are “currently focused on the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of the game and don't have any details to share about a PC version at this time.” This pretty much stops any chance of a PC version dropping at the same time as both Xbox 360 and PS3.

My guess? Judging from the past, we all know a PC version of GTA comes eventually, just not straight away. I think Rockstar will mention it again before the game releases and then we will hear about its official PC release before the end of the year. So if you are desperate to play this game like so many of us, and you only own a PC? Now is the time to buy an Xbox 360 or PS3. Sorry.
