At Saturday’s VGAs, film maker Guillermo del Toro revealed the name of his mystery game – and not much else.
Titled “Insane,” the game is being published by THQ and developed by Volition, the studio behind the Saint’s Row series, Red Faction: Guerilla and its upcoming sequel, Red Faction: Armageddon. The trailer accompanying the announcement mainly displayed the game’s title, as well as a release date 2013.
Del Toro had earlier suggested that his game would be horror-themed, and the few images seen in the trailer – crawling insects, tentacles, and a needle plunging into an eye – suggest this as well. So, the only things we can say for certain at this point is that “Insane” is a long way away and it probably won’t be another music game.
