Hawken Delayed Until Early 2013

Hawken, a free-to-play multiplayer mech game has been officially delayed until early next year, 2013. If that just made you throw your head back and roar in anger, you’ll find some comfort in knowing that the open beta will be available on the original release date December 12th. As a result of the new plan, Vanguard pre-sales have ended.

A representative of publisher Meteor Entertainment explained that the reason for this delay is due to improper planning by the development team that did not allow room for an open beta. While some successful closed beta events have already been held the developer, Adhesive Games, feels strongly that an open beta time period will yield invaluable information for making a better product.
