HBO in Talks with Zack Snyder for Watchmen TV Series

"Watching the Watchmen every week."
Director Zack Snyder may be delving into the world of Watchmen again. Collider has learned that Snyder has been meeting with HBO to discuss a potential Watchmen TV series, but nothing – including whether the show would take place before, during, or after the events of Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons’ Watchmen series – is currently known. Given how much was excluded from the film (and criticism that he was too loyal to the original text), it may be that Snyder wants to once again reimagine the events of the 1986 graphic novel, but the 2012 release of the Before Watchmen series makes a prequel much more likely. However, as Snyder is already committed to a number of DC-WB projects, it's likely we won't see any headway on the series for some time, which is perhaps intentional (as despite it running for at least two more seasons, HBO are undoubtedly looking for a successor to Game of Thrones).
