Finnish Indie developer Almost Human rejoiced this week as they announced that they have sold more than 600,000 copies of their Action/RPG dungeon crawler Legend of Grimrock. They also teased an upcoming, potential expansion pack to the game by way of two screenshots. Almost Human also announced that the Steam workshop for the game has over 450 confirmed mods that the community has cobbled together with the use of the game’s so called “Dungeon Editor.”
Seeing how Finland have yet to become synonymous within the video game world, with developer Remedy Entertainment being the only note-worthy example in this regard, this is certainly some great news and further proves that indie developers are on the rise to glory.
The developers released a statement saying:
”And to sum up the year, we’re now proud to announce that Legend of Grimrock has sold over 600.000 copies! We would’ve been happy with just one tenth of the sales numbers, so needless to say we’re very happy and the future of our company is secured for a long time.”
In the meantime, here are the screenshots that triggered the possible expansion pack speculation.
