Lily Cole and Sam Spruell on Board for ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’

Tons of actors have been cast for Universal’s Snow White and the Huntsman. We have the title characters in Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron on board to play the Evil Queen, and seven actors to play the dwarfs named after Roman emperors. That’s it for the casting, right?

Well, not exactly. Sam Spruell and Lily Cole have signed on to take on two roles in the film. Spruell will play Finn, a henchman sent by the Queen to murder the titular protagonists; Cole is set to portray a character named Greta. Cole is perhaps most famous for her role in Terry Gilliam’s 2009 fantasy The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus, while Spruell has had roles in war-oriented films such as Defiance and Kathryn Bigelow’s Best Picture winner The Hurt Locker.

Unlike previous casting updates that called for production to commence sometime this summer, Variety relays that filming is expected to begin in the fall and have a planned June 1, 2012 release.
