Mario Kart 8 DLC Contains Excitebike Track
"Has a few neat gimmicks behind it too!"
The first chunk of paid
Mario Kart 8 DLC comes out next month and Nintendo has been rolling out info on it recently. We already knew about Link and his amazing bike, but they also announced that Yoshi Circuit from
Mario Kart: Double Dash would return and that one new track is based off of the NES classic
Excitebike.
The track looks and sounds amazing, but it gets better. The track is randomly generated each time you try it out, making it a new experience every time. If that isn’t enough, the Excitebike Arena also incorporates
Excitebike physics so if you land awkwardly or tag your wheel on something wrong, you’ll perform a spinout.
The DLC still has a vague “November” release window. It’ll include two cups with four tracks each and three characters: Link, Tanooki Mario and Cat Peach. It’s $7.99 alone or $11.99 if you buy that and the Spring DLC together, which has another eight tracks and another three characters: Dry Bowser and
Animal Crossing’s Isabelle and Villager.
