As inevitable as the Reapers return from their 50,000 year
sleep, so comes the pre-ordained pre-order bonus items for Mass Effect 3.
As we all surmised, there are retailer-specific bonuses as well. As of right now, PC players who pre-order through EA’s
online Origin store will get a special shotgun, the AT-12 Raider Shotgun which
has an increased firing speed.
Pre-orders from any retailer or any platform will get you a
special gun called the M55 Argus Assault Rifle, which EA's ballistics
experts say has a "Quick burst-fire to ensure ammo conservation and
maximum accuracy on the battlefield".
If you
pre-order through Gamestop or EB you'll get the "N7 Warfare Gear"
which has a N7 Valkyrie Assault Rifle that fires "Two rounds per
shot with deadly accuracy", plus a set of N7 Defender Armor with Improved shields and health along with increased ammo capacity, and
amplified weapon damage.
Mass Effect 3 comes out this March for PC, Xbox and Playstation. It made Player Affinity's Most Anticipated Games of 2012 list.
