You guys remember Need for Speed Hot Pursuit? Remember how great that game was? Now it’s getting even better. EA and Criterion games have announced that they will be releasing three DLC packs for Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, all having them release in consecutive weeks, starting on February 22nd.
The first pack will be called “Armed and Dangerous” and will
feature two new multiplayer game modes. The press release describes them like
so: ““Most Wanted” is an open
world battle where the cops are out to bust a specific racer while the racers
battle to protect them, making full use of the open world, weaponry and
demanding team tactics. In “Arms Race” it’s every man for himself as racers use
their full arsenal of weaponry on each other in ruthless races to the finish.”
This pack will be priced at a nice seven dollars and will be available on both
PSN and XBLA.
The next week’s pack is entitled “Lamborghini Unleashed.” And as you could probably guess, it will feature a ton of Lamborghinis. More specifically, the following “Lambos” (as the kids say): Lamborghini Diablo SV, Lamborghini Countach LP5000 QV and Lamborghini Sesto Elemento. I don’t know what any of them are but they go real fast and crash real nice. Which means you should buy them. These cars will be playable as both cops and racers. This pack will also be seven smackers.
And finally, the “Porsche Unleashed” pack. Hey there’s Porsche’s in here. Porsche 911 Turbo, Porsche 959, and 911 Speedster are the names of these beautiful Porsche’s. This pack will be one hundred dollars. No it’s seven dollars like the rest of them.
They may not be the most expansive DLC packs but they’re something. And knowing Criterion’s DLC track record, you can expect a lot more seven dollar purchases in the near future.
