New Rumors on PS4

Sony stated that the PS4 is currently in development. The time when we will see it in our entertainment centers is yet to be determined, but new rumors have emerged concerning the next generation system.

First up, the latest rumor mill sources are saying that the PS4 will come with it's own form of motion controls, and that it will be similar to Microsoft's Kinect. The full body control thing, while interesting, is an odd one. While I feel it is an odd choice, Sony has a history of attempting to tap into current trends. The best example of this is the Sixaxis controller using motion sensing, which was not announced until well after Nintendo announced  the Wii controller.

Another interesting rumor is that the PS4 might be out as early as 2012. Now, this seems to be a bit of a stretch, but is it really? The Vita will be out soon, and it's almost been 5 years since the system was released. For those who know 5 years is the magic number, and it is usually after this time the next generation of systems are either rolled out or announced. To make matters even more interesting, rumors are floating about that some companies have been talking with Microsoft about their new system.  Obviously these are rumors, but given the timing, it won't be long until we see the system. It will be interesting to see how they use the technology rumored, and if 3D will still be the focus of this system. The Tokyo Game Show is not that far from now, and we might hear more then. However, E3 is historically the place where the systems are first shown/announced.
