Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath Coming to PSN

Just Add Water Studios has just revealed they will be remaking Oddworld: Stranger’s Wrath for the Playstation Network.  This is one of a few unannounced Oddworld games that they plan to remake with Oddworld Inhabitants, the creators of the original Oddworld games.  The 2005 classic should be coming out sometime early next year, around Easter.

“Since word got out that we’ve been working with Oddworld Inhabitants there have been many rumors circulating about what we’re working on, Stranger’s Wrath is the first project in what we believe will be a long and fruitful relationship. Having the chance to update this great title and release it on PS3 is just a brilliant opportunity, not least for us, but for the fans too.” –Stewart Gilray the managing director of Just Add Water

The good thing about this version is that they aren’t changing a lot of the core concept the only real change they have seem to announced so far is the addition of the Playstation Move support.  As far the rest goes they are going to update the visuals to 720p, as well as updating the audio.  They have said there will be more but they have yet to announce what that will be.
