PAYDAY: The Heist Delayed

According to the PlayStation Blog, PAYDAY: The Heist has been delayed.  The game's release date has been pushed back to later this month by SOE and OVERKILL in order to further polish the gameplay and insure the overall quality of the title is satisfactory prior to launch.

While the news is disheartening to gamers anticipating the PSN title's release, gamers can take solace in the fact that Sony cares enough to push back the launch date when it seems they aren't quite satisfied with the game's overall build.  A rough product can lead to a myriad of problems for a game including lackluster sales and reviews which can further impact the game's sales.

As bad as delays are, the news is encouraging as more and more developers and publishers have become comfortable with chucking out unfinished and less than stellar games with the mindset of "we'll just patch it later."  Are you upset, happy or indifferent about the delay of PAYDAY: The Heist?  Let us know in the comments.
