Risk + Metal Gear Solid

Last week, Konami announced their next venture for the Metal Gear Solid franchise: board games.  RISK: Metal Gear Solid Limited Edition, more specifically. Utilizing elements from the video games, such as Metal Gear Solid-specific black-market weaponry, eight different mercenary boss characters, Drebin's shop, and the Outer Haven battleship, players will take control of up to five different PMC armies and try to take control the world!  With the classic, at least classic 2008, rule set and two new rule sets specific to this edition, there are a variety of ways to play and with nigh 300 custom game pieces, custom game board, and box art by franchise artist Yoji Shinkawa, a collector of video game merchandise could certainly do a whole lot worse than this.  Presales begin on Monday, October 3rd, exclusively at USAopoly.com for $49.95.
