The Rogue One Trailer #2 Is Here!

"It's ... [heavy breathing] ... impressive!"

There’s a new Rogue One trailer, and it’s epic! No surprises there!

In this trailer we see a lot more of Mads Mikkelsen’s character, aka Galen, the father of our hero Jyn Erso (Felicity Jones). We get an awesome shot of him, reminiscent of Luke on Tatooine in Episode IV, before he gets taken away by the sinister Director Orson Krennic (Ben Mendelsohn).

“Jyn, whatever I do, I do it to protect you,” he says frantically to a young Jyn. It’s not dissimilar to Rey being left behind on Jakku by her family! Is there a connection there?!

We also get to see bit more of the rebels - Mon Mothma (Genevieve O’Reilly) looking regal, and the crew bantering around. Cassian Andor (Diego Luna) is roguishly dashing, whilst it’s Bodhi Rook (Riz Ahmed) who designates the call sign “Rogue One.”

There’s a sneak peek of some incredible fight scenes, and amazing landscapes, but also a hint of plot! We know Galen is critical to the development of a super weapon for the Empire … I wonder what that could be…

Forrest Whitaker looks bale-worn and wise as his character Saw Gerrera yells “Save the rebellion! Save the dream!” What a line!

Best of all, we catch a glimpse of Vader himself! As we all know, James Earl Jones is reprising his role as everyone’s least favorite mouth-breather… and we can’t wait to see more!

As the Tatooine theme plays, we’re reminded that we have to wait until December 16 to watch this film … well, at least we have this trailer to analyze to death in the meantime!
