Bethesda Softworks' absolutely
huge RPG, Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will hit on 11/11/11 for the PC, PS3 and Xbox
360. Set two hundred years after
Oblivion, the land of Skyrim has been thrown into civil war after the
assassination of its king and is at breaking point. In view of total destruction, the last of the living
Dovahkiin must find and take-on the God, Alduin in his form of a massive dragon
through what is potentially over three hundred hours of gameplay.
There’s so much to do in this game that it’s
unreal, and all the new features will be running using the new Creation engine
which entails brand new graphics, A.I, quest management system and animations. Yes, according to the video unveiled at
E3, (see below) the third person viewpoint will actually be animated well, (see
Oblivion) and should be very playable. Brilliant. With all the new stuff in there and over 150 dungeons, Skyrim
threatens to be the be all and end all of role-playing fantasy games and I wouldn’t
be surprised that because of this game, a lot of people don’t go outside for a
very, very long time.
