Among the many things announced earlier today during Microsoft's press release, the company announced that Xbox 360 will receive exclusive bonus content for THQ and Obsidian's highly-anticipated South Park RPG, South Park: The Stick of Truth. Players who pre-order the game before its March 5 release date will receive the "Mysterion Superhero Pack," which will allow players to play as the elusive Mysterion, famous from the "Coon and Friends" episode trilogy. In addition, players will also receive the "Dagger of Cthulhu" weapon, which hardcore South Park fans will remember as the dagger the goth kids use to stab Mysterion in the aforementioned trilogy.
Also announced was plans to release a set of three downloadable episodic aventure packs for The Stick of Truth for Xbox 360 exclusively before any other consoles. These downloadable episodes will live independantly from the original game.
Finally, as part of Microsoft's effort to bring Kinect to top-of-mind, South Park: The Stick of Truth will bring a unique capability to Kinect and will allow players to taunt their enemies and initiate attacks with vocal commands. In essence, players can trade insults and trash-talk with the foul-mouthed fourth graders.
South Park: The Stick of Truth is set to release March 5 for Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC.
