The Walking Dead Artwork to be Exhibited at NYC Gallery

The Walking Dead is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. As part of the ongoing celebrations of that milestone, Image Comics and Skybound (Robert Kirkman's imprint) are teaming to hold a number of special events during New York Comic Con this week. Of course, there will be a panel. Through a sponsorship with Hyundai motors, Image and Kirkman are also showcasing art from The Walking Dead at a gallery in New York City's Chelsea gallery district. From Thursday, October 10th through Saturday, October 12th, The Walking Dead artwork and illustrations will be shown at Pillars 37 (517 West 37th Street, Manhattan).

In addition to seeing the artwork on the walls, guests of the gallery also have a chance to preview a special documentary about The Walking Dead called "Hyundai Presents The Walking Dead: A Decade of Dead." Limited edition prints from The Walking Dead will be given to visitors to the gallery as well.

Another part of the 10th anniversary celebration is the publication of a book from The Walking Dead artist Charlie Adlard, The Art of Charlie Adlard. A special limited edition slipcase version of this book will be available at Pillars 37 to purchase (for $75), and Adlard will be at the gallery on Saturday for a signing of the book. There will only be 150 copies of the slipcase version, so it may sell out quickly.
