Tom Hiddleston Confirms Loki’s Evil “Avengers” Plans

It was reported a few months ago that Thor's nemesis Loki would be appearing as the main villain in Joss Whedon's The Avengers next year. In an interview with Vulture, Tom Hiddleston, who plays the Norse god in the new movie Thor, has confirmed his involvement with next summer's highly anticipated superhero battle royale.

To anyone who has already seen Thor, Hiddleston was able to bring Loki’s cunning,= and manipulative personality to life, resulting in a truly a complex villain. Hiddleston’s rise to fame is meteoritic: before Thor, he was mostly known as a stage actor in the UK and his biggest screen appearance was in the BBC TV series Wallander. Hiddleston talked about how he prepared for the role and originally auditioned to play Thor himself. Hiddleston promises that Loki’s plan will be grand, evil and it will take more then Thor to defeat him. There is also a major post-credit scene at the end of Thor that will give moviegoers a taste of what is coming.

If after seeing Thor you still need a Hiddleston fix, he will be in Woody Allen’s Midnight in Paris later this month and Steven Spielberg’s War Horse in December.
