The Smash Bros. site was updated today with the announcement of a returning character for the upcoming Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS. This time it’s Toon Link.
Toon Link is the Hero of Winds from The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker, which received a high-def remaster on Wii U quite recently. His look is a lot more doll-ish in the more realistic Smash Bros than his cartoon-like adventure in Wind Waker HD.
Series director Masahiro Sakurai runs the Smash Bros. site and has yet announced a brand new character for the next-gen fighter since its unveiling back at E3 2013 when the Wii Fit Trainer, Animal Crossing’s Villager and Capcom’s Mega Man.
