Warner Bros. Sets ‘LEGO 3D’ for February 2014
Movie projects based on your childhood seem to crop up without abandon. Usually they amount to nothing more than the fleeting utterance of "did you hear they're making a ____ movie?" when you're talking with your friends, but Warner Bros. has just taken a huge step forward in that CG-animated LEGO movie you've been hearing about. The studio has set a release date of February 28, 2014 for
LEGO 3D.
LEGO 3D will be directed by
Phil Lord and
Chris Miller, the duo behind the hit spring comedy
21 Jump Street and 2009's animated smash
Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. The duo also wrote the story with
Dan and
Kevin Hageman, so in a number of interviews they've already shared
some of their ideas for the film. Believe it or not, it sounds promising for the Danish build blocks' first feature film.
