Way of the Samurai 4, Persona 2, Explodemon Announced

There have been few announcements today for new and updated games coming to the PS3 and PSP:

Way of the Samurai 4 was announced today by Japanese game publisher Spike.

This open-world samurai action sequel is set to be exclusive to the PlayStation 3. No US releases date has yet been given but it will be coming out this winter in Japan. The developer Acquire say that this forth game will be much longer than its prequels, although the story will still stay true to the roots of the PS2 original.

Japanise magazine Famitsu have revealed that Atlus are remaking the PSOne game Persona 2: Innocent Sin.

Originally released way back in 1999. It seems that most of the improvement will not be huge, and will include remodelled graphics, a revised battle interface, and a new anime opening movie. The remake is designed for the PSP and will arrive in Japanese stores this winter, but a US date is not yet known.

The interestingly unique title Explodemon will be coming out on PSN this winter. Players control Explodemon, a superhero who can blow himself to destroy enemies, objects, and solve puzzles. The game has a light hearted parody styling, and is set to be a PSN exclusive.

Ed Fear from Curve Studios said via the PS Blog:  “We’ve been working on Explodemon for almost five years now, in some capacity or another, so we’re immeasurably excited to actually get it out to people before the end of the year.”

“Featuring 12 huge levels of pulse-pounding platforming, a deep control system, devastatingly up-close-and-personal combat, upgradable special abilities, comic-book style cutscenes and a story that’ll make you giggle, cry, or simply sigh with indifference, Explodemon isn’t your average game”
