Weekend Sales Friday April 29th

You'll need to act fast, because many of these weekend deals are actually just for one day only, and Electronic Arts has a massive sale you'll want to check out today. You slowpokes will still find a few deals that stick around over the weekend, but thrifty game hunters will want to take a look at what's up for grabs today on the digital distributors.

Amazon.com has a one-day deal on Need For Speed: Shift 2 - Unleashed.  That's a lot of words in that title, and you can have them all for $29.95 for PC, or $39.95 if you use an XBox and PS3.  This is for a physical copy of the game, not a download, so you're at the mercy of the UPS guy.

Direct2Drive.com has a Daily Deal, AND a Weekend Deal too! Today you can get the MMO Rift for $29.99, down from $49.95.  All weekend long you can get Nine games by Activision for half off.  The list includes some James Bond Titles, one of the Transformers games, and some casual games too.  Prices vary.

ImpulseDriven.com is selling the Tank strategy game Frontline: Fields of Thunder for $1.99.  That's an 80% discount good for today only.

Onlive not only has their usual Five Dollar Friday sale, but also a weekend sale as well.  Today you can get Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days for five bucks, but you can get a different game by Square Enix on the cheap for the rest of the weekend. Saturday it's Just Cause 2 for $14.99, and Sunday it will be Batman Arkham Asylum for $7.50.

Best of all, the EA Store is having a one-day-only Spring Blowout Sale that will get you 40% off for close to 200 games with free shipping!  The deal is good for PC and consoles, along with some DLC.  This is definitely our BEST DEAL OF THE DAY.
