Turn off the Lights

Weekend Sales Thursday April 21st

Did you miss Steam's one-day sale on Bioshock 2 the other day?  Well, if you did, would you kindly head over to Direct2Drive.com?  They're selling it for 75% off today only (Thursday the 14th) at $4.95.  While you're over there, take a look at their casual sale on Zombie Shooter 2, which is going for three cents more than Bioshock 2.  I'm sure Zombie Shooter 2 is a fine game, but your money is better spent on a madcap romp through Rapture.

ImpulseDriven.com has their Weekend Impulse Buys, six games at assorted discounts.  Through the weekend you can get Star Ruler for ten dollars, Hegemony Gold: Wars of Ancient Greece for $14.99, FIFA Manager 11 for $9.99, Direct Hit: Missile War for $18.75, or Rise of Prussia for $4.49.  However the most interesting Impulse buy is a Vampire/ Comic book-theme puzzle RPG called Immortal Souls: John Turner # 1.  It might be worth a look at $11.24.

GamersGate.com is going into Train Simulator Weekend, with 50% discounts on ten different train sims.  However they are also still doing their Space Battles promotion, and there are a total of 60 games on sale at the moment.  Over at GamesForWindows.com, you can get Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 for $14.99 now through next Thursday.

Finally, Steam has a bunch of deals at the moment, starting with a Daily Deal on Civ V, for 60% off at $29.99.  You can also get any DLC pack for 40% off, prices vary.  This deal is good for today only, but Steam's Weekend Sale will let you get all of the Splinter Cell games (Except for Pandora Tomorrow) and the Insurgency DLC for just $25.98. The Potato Sack is also atill available and will let you buy 13 indie games for 38.72.  As of this writing, they're still honoring their Midweek Madness Sale on Majicka and all of its DLC for $7.99.  The Splinter Cell Collector's Pack is our BEST DEAL OF THE DAY.
