What is “Marvel Now”?

Last week Marvel had announced that they were going to have a relaunch called Marvel Now.  Marvel stated that this is going to be different from the New 52 from DC. This is not going to change the continuity of the Marvel universe.

Marvel will be cancelling some old series and relaunching new series during the months of October and February. The cancelled titles in October are going to be Captain America, Fantastic Four, FF, Incredible Hulk, Invincible Iron Man, New Mutants, The Mighty Thor, Uncanny X-men, and X-men Legacy.

Even though there will be a lot of series that will be getting cancelled there will also be at least one new series every month during the months of October, November, December, January, and February. Three of the new series that have already been announced are Uncanny Avengers, All New X-men, and Avengers.

Uncanny Avengers will be a direct spin off from Avengers Vs. X -men. It will have the creative team of Rick Remender and John Cassaday. All New X-men will have the original five X-men come into the present day and some of them not liking their future selves. This will have the creative team of Brian Michael Bendis and Stuart Immonen. Avengers will have 18 heroes on the team and will be a bi weekly comic book. This will have the creative team of Jonathan Hickman and Jerome Opena.

I am sure that we will be hearing even more news about Marvel Now during San Diego Comic Con this weekend.  What do you think about Marvel Now? What titles are you looking forward to? Are you upset about the titles that have been cancelled? Tell us in the comments below.
