Nintendo has, quite mistakenly, unveiled a new Wii U bundle coming this October.
Today Nintendo posted a trailer for The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD detailing its new Hero Mode. Unlike Skyward Sword, the mode is unlocked from the start and is more difficult for those who may have played the game back of the GameCube. Link takes more damage and will not replenish hearts unless he uses potions or fairies.
However, at the end of the trailer shows off a nice bundle that includes the 32GB Wii U and a copy of Wind Waker. What sets this bundle from the rest is a special Gamepad that has gold etchings, much like the limited edition Ocarina of Time 3D 3DS that came out in 2011. Zelda fans who have yet grabbed a Wii U may have just found the right time to do so.
The console’s unveiling seems to be an accident since Nintendo removed the trailer from their YouTube channel, though others who caught it have uploaded it themselves. A Wind Waker bundle was rumored for quite awhile, as well as Nintendo 3DS XL's with Pokémon X/Y. Next week is the GameStop Expo, a conference for GameStop managers followed by a one-day public opening, so perhaps Nintendo was waiting until then to unveil it.
