CW Sets Date for Flash, Supergirl Musical Crossover

The CW has set a date for the much-anticipated The Flash and Supergirl crossover musical event. The crossover will start at the end of the Supergirl episode airing March 20, but the bulk of the action will occur during the March 21 episode of The Flash, according to Variety. A number of cast members will have singing roles, including Grant Gustin, Melissa Benoist, Jesse L. Martin, Victor Garber, Carlos Valdes, Jeremy Jordan and John Barrowman. Many of these actors have previous singing experience. Grant Gustin and Melissa Benoist both had roles on Glee, Jesse L. Martin was in the stage and screen versions of Rent, Victor Garber has been nominated for four Tony awards throughout an illustrious stage career, both John Barrowman and Carlos Valdes have appeared in Broadway musicals, and Jeremy Jordan was in the original Broadway cast of Newsies. The CW hasn’t officially announced if there will be any original songs in the episode or why kind of music will be featured.
