Turn off the Lights

EverQuest Next Announcement This Friday

I’m bringing you a news story that is pretty personal to me being the defining game in my gaming life. Sony has confirmed that the first details about EverQuest Next will be unveiled at the SOE Live 2013 event this weekend.

The official schedule for the event reveals that SOE president John Smedley will join Dave Georgeson and other game developers at the panel, which is scheduled to take place at 12pm EST on Friday.

Further panels taking place during the event, which runs August 2nd through the 4th, will cover the world of the upcoming sandbox MMO, the creative options presented to players, the classes on offer and lore.

Everquest: Next was originally announced back in 2010 and it was revealed in 2012 that the game had undergone significant redevelopment though few specifics were given.

This is literally going to be the first have ever seen of EverQuest: Next and I have to say I’m extremely excited by this. Nobody has a clue what it’s going to be like and that makes it even more magical.

EverQuest was the game that personally shaped my gaming life and I was glued to it in the mid 00’s and still have amazing nostalgic moments that I love to relive. I can see this game being huge and we will give you up to date details as soon as they’re announced.
