Have you been jonesing for another opportunity to jam a chainsaw bayonet into the face of your Locust enemies? How about into the faces of your friends? Is this line of questioning really troubling and likely to put me on a watchlist of some variety? Since the answer to all of those questions is “yes”, I have some great news: the Gears of War 4 Multiplayer Beta is going to launch in a month.
According to gearsofwar.com on April 18th “Fans who’ve played Gears of War: Ultimate Edition on Xbox One or Windows 10 will begin to receive tokens in waves for early access.” These are the lucky ones who will get to join in on the carnage first. To qualify for early access, you need to sign into Xbox Live and play Gears of War: Ultimate Edition by 11PM PDT, April 11th.
Once this “early access” period ends on April 24, “all Xbox Live Gold members on Xbox One who qualify will be invited.” The beta Ends on May 1.
So here we are scant weeks away from the unrelenting carnage of Gears being unleashed on multiplayer. This brings us one step closer to returning to Sera and getting to tangle with those horrifying, mouth-tentacled monsters from the gameplay preview.
This is going to be fun.
