Rosamund Pike cast in “Wrath of the Titans”

Rosamund Pike will play Andromeda in Wrath of the Titans, the sequel to the financially successful Clash of the Titans. Alexa Davalos, who
played the same character in “Clash,” is unavailable
according to Deadline.

Pike should do some decent work here. She’s been impressive
before, particularly in An Education
where she does so much with such a small role. However, I’m not so sure how
much extra she can put into a role like this without looking like she’s
overacting. Such is the struggle of an actor.

Sam Worthington reprises his role as Perseus, so it should
be interesting to see how he and Pike interact.

Pike’s casting also suggests she won’t play Ursa in the
“Superman” reboot Zack Snyder’s directing. She was just recently announced alongside Alice Eve and Diane Kruger as a candidate
for the role

I’d have rather seen her as Ursa, but I’m thankful that this
wonderful actress gets the opportunity to impress a wider audience.

How do you feel about Rosamund Pike starring in this film
and are you still hopeful she’ll be in the “Superman” reboot?
