‘Scarface’ to Get Another Remake

The 1983 remake of Scarface gave way for one of Al Pacino’s most iconic performances and gave rise to an ingénue named Michelle Pfeiffer. Universal faced quite a bit of vitriol when handling that project based on the 1932 feature, but they answered with a heck of a film. Can they do it again?

According to Deadline Hollywood, Universal is planning a remake of sorts. It won’t be a direct remake of either film, but it will grab elements from both the original and the Pacino-starring Scarface. The geography and ethnicity of leading character Tony, both of which served huge importance before, are currently unknown.

So, would you say hello to Universal's little friend or are two Scarfaces more than enough?
