Any gamer who has a passion for the music behind their favorite titles understands the excitement often generated by discovering one the best soundtrack composers is working on your game of interest. It has been recently revealed that Trent Reznor, the man who helped write and compose the soundtrack to The Social Network, will be working on the theme music for Call of Duty: Black Ops II. There is a strong musical background in the Call of Duty franchise with masterminds such as Brian Tyler helping form the epic moments within the single player campaign that made the story come to life and inspire you to perform heroic actions within the game.
While Trent Reznor is indeed a great composer let’s not shadow another fantastic musician such as Jack Wall who will be doing the rest of the score for Black Ops II. If his work here is anything like it was on the Mass Effect score it will be sensational on multiple levels. If you weren’t excited for this game before then I hope news of almost guaranteed amazing music pulls you in. If you still aren’t convinced that this game is worth the money at least pick up the soundtrack, you won’t regret it.
