Call of Duty: Black Ops 2’s Zombies Mode Can Basically Be Its Own Game

Activision and Treyarch finally released new details on the highly anticipated Zombies mode in Call of Duty: Black Ops 2. From just a bonus mode that first started in World of War, Zombies mode has pretty much became its own game in Black Ops 2. Not only the regular survival mode is back with up to four players playing cooperatively, there is also a campaign-like mode called Tranzit. Tranzit takes place in a separate world from Black Ops 2's main campaign and your group has to travel to various locales of this world taking out zombies. The main reason this is called Tranzit is that you have to use an armored bus to get around from one map to the next, but zombies can attack you while in the bus, so you and your teammates (also up to four players) have to fend them off while proceeding to the next big area. This mode also features its own cast of characters to play as, new weapons to mess around with that are from the main campaign, and more secret goodies. There is also a crafting system that players can use to mix up items to become weapons and even up open up areas that can't be reached normally.

Besides Tranzit and Survival, another new mode is also being brought in Black Ops 2's Zombies mode. Grief turns things competitive in the zombies world where there are two human teams of four. One team is the CIA while the other team is the CDC. The twist is that these two teams can not kill each other and they can use the zombies to their advantage in order to win. This has the potential to be pretty fun and a good distraction from the game's core multiplayer. Like the main multiplayer, Survival and Grief in Zombies can be customized to your preference by changing up the rules, difficulty, etc. With Zombies becoming a big package on its own to the point it can become its own game, you're going to get a lot of content out of Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 for $60 besides the main campaign, the franchise-famous multiplayer, and e-sports features. Will you be playing Zombies more than the core multiplayer in Black Ops 2? Let us know in the comments below.
