Turn off the Lights

Battlefield 1 Officially Announced

"Newest Battlefield Goes Back to World War I"
Earlier this week, Activision and Infinity Ward officially announced Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare to a mixed reception. Today it is DICE and EA's turn announcing the newest Battlefield game. In a surprise to many, Battlefield 1 takes things back to World War I with the weapons, vehicles and locales at the time. The beautiful trailer can be seen below. Expectedly, DICE is delivering once again on the visual front on higher end PCs and hopefully the current consoles can run it decently. The sense of destruction seen in the trailer is breathtaking and console fans may be wondering if they have to pony up for the rumored upgraded consoles to see this game at it's full potential. Plus, the change to World War I is a long time coming with all the modern and futuristic shooter fatigue. Multiplayer will be a maximum of 64 players once again on PC and consoles. Battlefield 1 comes out on October 21st for the Xbox One, Playstation 4 and PC. Continuing the trend other developers are doing, there is a "Day 0 Edition" coming three days earlier called the Early Enlister Edition that also includes two DLC packs, more weapons, vehicles and items. EA Access folks on Xbox One also get to play it days before launch as well. I'm personally more curious about see what's next for this game at E3 next month than the other big shooter that was announced earlier this week.
