DC To Bring In Young Fans via Cartoon Network

On Saturday, 3 March 10 am (EST & PST) DC and Cartoon network will be premiering a new 1 hour programming block of DC animation.  The first half hour will be filled by Green Lantern: The Animated series.  This computer animated series focuses on Hal Jordan and other members of the Green Lantern Corps dealing with various dangers to the universe.  The second half hour will be taken up by Young Justice.  Young Justice appears to be Teen Titans by another name because it consists of Robin, Aqualad, Kidflash, Superboy, Miss Martian and Artemis.

Surrounding these shows will be the usual shorts that Cartoon Network is famous for - usually a bit tongue-in-cheek.  They’ll be working with Aardman Studios (of Wallace and Grommit fame) and Lauren Faust (of Power Puff girls fame)

Together this hour should do a good job building up the next generation of DC fans.  I know the only reason I care about DC is because of Batman: The Animated Series.  (And the 1994 X-Men series is a big reason why I collect Marvel comics).
