With a week away from launch, Activision and Infinity Ward finally revealed the co-op mode for Call of Duty: Chosts called Extinction in a new trailer. Extinction mode is actually a familiar take on a popular Call of Duty staple the past few years. Infinity Ward decided to ditch Spec Ops from the Modern Warfare games and go with a "zombies" approach instead for Extinction, but with ailens invading. This co-op mode is one to four players with it's own level up system, base building, and the survival action you expect from Black Ops 2's zombies mode.
Extinction looks to have a separate storyline from the main games as well like what Black Ops 2's zombies mode had last year. Fans of Call of Duty's zombies mode have at least something to look forward for next week even though it is aliens. Will it play exactly like zombies? We will find out when Call of Duty: Ghosts comes out on November 5th for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii U, and PC. Playstation 4 and Xbox One versions will be released the same day as their respective launches.
