Face Off Will Spice it Up for Season 8

syfy-faceoff-season8-03 Syfy renews Face Off for season 8 but the new season will be changing things. The eighth installment is labeled “Return of the Champions.” Face Off champions Rayce Bird (Season 2), Anthony Kosar (Season 4) and Laura Tyler (Season 5) will be returning to coach new competitors. The reality competition show follows talented special-effects make-up artists in their quest to become the champion and win the prize package. In each episode the artists get to display their talents to professionals Ve Neill, Glenn Hetrick, and Neville Page. Every week a competitor gets eliminated leaving the rest a little closer to the finale. Face Off - Season 7 But in season 8 former champions will get to choose five competitors and coach them on their creations. Ve Neil, according to Hollywood Reporter, will be returning to the show. Neill was absent during the season because she was working on The Hunger Games. Her replacement was Lois Burwell who did the make-up for Saving Private Ryan and Braveheart. As Face Off wraps up its season, Tuesday’s episode named the finalists who will compete for season 7’s championship. The final episode of Face Off season 7 will premiere Tuesday, October 28 at 9/8c. Season 8 is set to premiere January 13, 2015 at 9/8c on Syfy.
