God of War: Ascension Owners Get The Last of Us Demo First

Naughty Dog have revealed that God of War: Ascension owners will be getting an exclusive demo for the highly anticipated PS3 title, The Last Of Us.

The Uncharted developers posted the news today on the official PlayStation Blog, where they told readers that, “…players who pick up God of War: Ascension will be able to get their hands on a demo of The Last of Us when it becomes available at a later date.”

The demo, which will be shown as a listing on the main menu of the latest God of War disc, will not be readily available to owners who purchase the game, but the listing will apparently contain, “…details on how you can obtain The Last of Us demo for free as soon as it becomes available.”

Eric Monacelli, Naughty Dog’s Community Strategist, also said, “We teamed up with the development crew at Santa Monica Studio to include access to a chapter of The Last of Us in every copy of God of War: Ascension, so you won’t have to wait too long to get your hands on two of the biggest games of the year.”

Details have not yet been given as too when a demo will become available to players who do not wish to buy Kratos's latest adventure, but another spokesman for The Last Of Us developers did answer a question concerning the matter with, “Right now this is the only option planned to be able to play the TLOU demo.”

Do you think this is a good idea? Will this encourage more people to buy the new God of War? Do you think it is unfair to other players who don’t wish to purchase this game to not, as of yet anyway, have demo lined up for them? Share your thoughts with us below.
