Lauren Graham is Adapting Her New Novel Into a Series

Lauren Graham, the actress most known for her work on television and a handful of films has just released a debut novel. After the success of her book, she has decided to turn to screenwriting in order to turn her book into a television series. The show will keep the title of her book, Someday, Someday, Maybe, and it will reunite her with Warner Bros., the studio responsible for her first starring role in Gilmore Girls, the role that made her famous. In addition to Warner Bros., Ellen DeGeneres, a friend of Graham's, has joined with Graham's production company as well. Graham's book was just recently released on April 30 and is a New York Times Bestseller.

Lauren Graham will write the script for the show and it will take the form of an hour long drama. The show is expected to keep the witty tone of the book and will be set in New York City. The story is about a young woman with six months left on her three-year plan to make a career for herself as an actress living in New York City. Graham got her start while playing the mother of Alexis Bledel's character Rory on Gilmore Girls and now plays a mother on the show Parenthood. Fans of her work as an actress will want to check out this new project in order to see what she is like on the other side of the camera.
