Metal Gear Survive Announced

"Konami's first Kojima-less Metal Gear game is a zombie co-op affair"
It was only a matter of time when Konami was going to move on with the Metal Gear franchise without Hideo Kojima. Whether fans like it or not, Konami still had plans for the future for it. Today, we got a glimpse of at it with the announcement of Metal Gear Survive. IGN had the exclusive scoop and trailer below. What can the Kojima-less Konami come up with Metal Gear Survive, which takes place after Ground Zeroes? Add some co-op play with zombies. How original of an idea! Leftover soldiers of Militaires Sans Frontieres that survived the attack on Mother BaseĀ get transported by wormholes into an alternate world while zombies are taking over. From the trailer above, we see different characters with classes which is where the co-op survival comes into play. mgsurvive_arrow_feature Metal Gear Survive so far is taking a complete departure from the stealth focused gameplay the series is known for. Konami has said there's still stealth in this game but the "survival action" is the focus. Honestly, this looks like a slap to the face at the hardcore fans similar to the recently released Umbrella Corps for Capcom's Resident Evil franchise. Fortunately, Survive will be $30 when it comes next year on Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC.
