NetherRealm Studios promised gameplay footage for Mortal Kombat X's Kombat Pack 2 roster and they did delivered this morning. The new trailer featuring Alien, Leatherface, Bo Rai Cho and Tri-Borg can be seen below.
The most impressive of the four so far is Tri-Borg because he's Cyrax, Sektor and Smoke in one character. Fans were highly requesting the robot ninjas to return and they got their wish in one character's three variations from Sektor's missiles, Cyrax's net and bombs as well as Smoke's spear and teleports. Bo Rai Cho makes his playable return last being seen two console generations ago. Leatherface looks to be as easy to play as Jason Vorhees with simple yet damaging options. Alien is shaping to be another love letter to fans of those movies and have deep variations just like Predator.
If you buy Kombat Pack 2, you also get Goro if you pre-order the game last year and some skin packs that you missed along with new ones. These four characters will definitely make me go back to the game for a bit, but we'll see if the tournament crowd likes these guys and ready for more patching by NetherRealm.
No date and price was announced yet for Mortal Kombat X's Kombat Pack 2, but my guess that these characters should start rolling out at the end of the first quarter.
