New ‘Fast & Furious’ Drops Fast to become “Furious 7”

"New Poster, trailer debut and release date announced"
Furious 7 Universal announced yesterday that the latest "Fast & Furious" segment has been renamed, dropping the "Fast" and becoming, simply, Furious 7. With a release date slated for April 3, 2015, Universal is getting the ball rolling early with their marketing campaign. According to their Facebook Page, a teaser trailer for Furious 7 will be unveiled this Sunday (11.2) at a Universal Studios fan event, the details of which are as follows:
"For those in the Los Angeles area, tickets will be available starting tomorrow, October 27th, on the official Fast & Furious social pages. Starting today, you can submit questions for Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez, Jordana Brewster, Tyrese Gibson, Chris “Ludacris” Bridges, and Jason Statham to be answered at the live event. Go to Instagram and submit a video, asking your favorite Fast & Furious star your question while using the hashtag #AskFurious7"
Perhaps a play off of the fifth installment's title, Fast 5, or simply a re-branding after the tragic death of Paul Walker in late 2013, Furious 7 is sure to drum up plenty of hype during the six-month marketing campaign. Directed by James Wan (SawThe Conjuring), the latest addition will feature most of the previous crew, including Tokyo Drift star Lucas Black, as well as relative newcomers Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham. An amalgamation of all of the previous films, with an assemblage of stars spanning throughout the six-film saga, Furious 7 is sure to be one of the most highly-anticipated action movies (barring Marvel's two releases) of 2015. The "Millennial" generation's The ExpendablesFurious 7 promises to be full of over-the-top action, adrenaline-pumping car chases, and some sort of heist that will undoubtedly blow minds.
