Prey’s Second Trailer Releases Launch Date

"Arkane Studios goes into space"
Following a teaser at Bethesda's 2016 E3 showcase, Prey's newest trailer announces its debut on May 5th. [embed]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yZf6khoZQsc[/embed] Prey follows as the reboot to its predecessor, and shares its title. First conceived in 1995 and finally released in 2006 by 2K Games, Prey enjoyed commercial success. Critics praised the game for its graphics quality and superb gameplay, with only small complaints of a limited multiplayer. Prey released on PC and Xbox 360, and later ported to Mac and Linux. Bethesda's Prey, like its forerunner, falls under the first-person shooter genre. It features RPG elements such as character customization and a story driven narrative. Arkane Studio's creative director Raphael Colantonio also highlighted continuous gameplay as a key feature, drawing parallels to Metroid. In addition to this classic Nintendo series, Colantonio also invoked the classic System Shock as a source of inspiration. Having also produced Dishonored, Arkane Studios plans to make player actions result in consequences that alter the future. The story revolves around an Asian American protagonist, Morgan Yu, as they explore the space station Talos I amidst an alien threat. Called the Typhon, these enemies take multiple forms, and can even mimic furniture. With a wealth of lore and a reputation for open-ended gameplay, Bethesda's re-imagining of an old game stands poised to make its own successful breakout come May 5th.

About / Bio
Throughout high school and college, I have aspired to write for videogames, and in the meantime, put to use my skills in analysis on the reception end of things.

Besides graphics-intensive shooters and AAA titles, I also have a vested interest in RTS and RPGs. Story and how it impacts gameplay are the two biggest measures of a game's worth to me. The rest are details.
