Rumor Has It: ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ Looking at Sandler and Carrey? Are the ‘Justice League’ Heroes Assembled?

Welcome to Rumor Has It, Entertainment Fuse’s roundup of rumors about highly anticipated films. We’re talking Guardians of the Galaxy and Justice League week.

Guardians of the Galaxy to enlist who?

The hunt for the role of Peter Quill in James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy has grown even more extensive according to Latino Review, but also in the conversation to star in the film are – get this – Jim Carrey and Adam Sandler.

The comedic actors are most likely being considered for voice parts for one of the non-human Guardians, but still, Carrey and Sandler starring in a superhero movie? The former’s name seems more appropriate since he stars in the upcoming sequel to Kick-Ass, though that’s more of a satirical superhero film than a serious one.

Whatever happens with Carrey and Sandler, Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy will hit theaters on August 1, 2014.

The five Justice League heroes will be…

Who will direct Justice League for Warner Bros.? The answer’s still up in the air, but we might finally know which DC Comics heroes will be pivotal to the film.

Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, and Green Lantern will — again according to Latino Review — be the five heroes prominently featured in Justice League. This hardly comes as a shock since they’re the most popular and discussed heroes of the Justice League.

The source also relays that there might be a cameo or two. The heroes likely for that gig are Aquaman and Martian Manhunter. Hawkman might pop up in Justice League briefly, but it’s highly unlikely.

Justice League should hit theaters in June 2015.
